Bristol's leading Cool Britannia

BRISTOL is the latest city to be included in a new website about the best of British.

The website www.coolplaces.co.uk has been formed by the founders of Rough Guides and Cool Camping to showcase the best places in the country to sleep, eat, drink and shop.

Cool Places sets out to find, review and celebrate all the best things about Britain as a travel destination. The reviews are written by professional travel writers, based locally and with expert knowledge.

Top picks for the city include things such as See No Evil street art, Lahloo Pantry tea rooms in Clifton Village, pop up restaurant and cafe 40 Alfred Place in Kingsdown, up-cycling clothes boutique Rag Trade opposite the BRI, Devilled Egg Cookery School in Clifton to the Banksy Trail, Za Za Bazaar (UK's largest restaurant), Poco on Stokes Croft and the Tobacco Factory Market.

Managing director Martin Dunford said: "Cool Places is all about celebrating what is great about Britain, what makes the country unique. Our focus is on the authentic, independent and quirky, with each area explored personally by a local author."
